about

Sofia is a researcher, writer, and artist working at the intersection of environmental justice, community resistance, and international development politics. Her work focuses on socio-environmental conflicts; who bears the cost of extraction, how communities organise against it, and what a genuine fossil fuels phase-out would require. She contributes to the EJ Atlas, mapping resistance movements against fossil fuel extraction and fake green solutions. She works as a Climate Change trainer, projct manager and freelance graphic designer and she writes a weekly Substack on fossil fuels phase-out.
